How does working with a travel agent actually work?

Working with a travel agent is simple and personalized. It starts with a consultation where we learn about your travel preferences, budget, timeline, and goals. Based on that, we research and design customized travel options tailored specifically to you.

Once you review and approve your itinerary, we handle the bookings — including accommodations, transfers, tours, and special experiences. We remain your point of contact before, during, and after your trip to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Why should I use a travel agent instead of booking online?

While booking online can seem convenient, a travel agent offers expertise, time savings, and personalized support that websites simply can't match.

We:

  • Provide customized recommendations based on firsthand knowledge

  • Help you avoid costly mistakes

  • Offer guidance on destinations, travel requirements, and timing

  • Provide support if something goes wrong during your trip

How do I pay for my trip?

Payments are typically made directly to the travel suppliers (such as cruise lines, hotels, or tour operators) by your travel advisor. Depending on the trip, you may pay:

  • A deposit to secure your booking

  • A final balance closer to departure

  • Or full payment at the time of booking

We’ll clearly outline all payment schedules and policies before anything is confirmed, so there are no surprises.

Can you get me discounts or special deals?

As travel advisors, we do not get special discounts from suppliers to give our clients. However, we constantly monitor offers and promotions to make sure you are getting the best value for your vacation. Although we do not get discounts for suppliers, travel advisors have special relationships with suppliers they work with frequently that may come in handy in other ways regarding your vacation. Such as, we have special phone lines dedicated to just us so if anything needs to be handled in a time crunch we maybe able to address it much faster than you would calling the normal lines. We are also usually given a heads up before promotions are released to the general public so are one step ahead when it comes to booking those promotions for you.

How do travel advisors get paid?

Travel agents are typically paid in one of two ways:

  1. Commission from travel suppliers (such as hotels, cruise lines, and tour companies), which is built into the price of your trip.

  2. Planning or service fees for more complex or customized itineraries.

We are always transparent about how we’re compensated, and you’ll know upfront if any service fees apply.
